Spice Cabinet -- Spice Drawer

Holly and I decided that we were tired of reaching to the back of the top cabinet every day and coming back with Italian Seasoning instead of Cayenne Pepper. Here's what we were looking at when we opened our spice cabinet.



And taking up prime real estate, here is the drawer right next to the stove.



We got organized! We loaded up on spice jars and patience, printed labels on our excess return address stickers, and forced the Great Spice Migration. With the space we cleared in the cabinet, we were finally able to find a home for our food processor (and accessories).



And I was also able to exercise my alphabetizing muscle with our new SPICE DRAWER!



I'm very pleased with the result! I wish we had been able to find square spice jars that weren't too tall for the drawer. Also, I assumed the short jarred spices would be fine as they were, but they're already starting to bug me. I have already added 11 more jars to my wish list. I am also wondering if it was worth keeping our 4 different types of ground cinnamon separate. They do taste slightly different, but do I care that much?
